The red poppy is a symbol of both Remembrance and hope for a peaceful future.
50% of each sale will be donated to The Royal British Legion.Β
Poppies are also worn as a show of support for the Armed Forces community in remembrance of the First World War and Armistice Day on 11 November. A tradition brought about by King George V in 1919 which common wealth counties still stand by today.
Choose to have a blank generic poppy card or with the text included as a tribute to those who fought and died for us in war. “On the 11th hour…on the 11th day…on the 11th month…we will remember you.”

I lived in Oxford for three years whilst at university. Many great things happened here: I made life long friends, met my marvellous husband and worked in one of the most unforgettable department stores, Boswells of Oxford. I visit Oxford a lot as we have family there, but also because it's simply the most magical of places. I often reminisce over my university days, wandering around the colleges and the Pitt River's museum, pretending to be Lyra in Philip Pullman's The Northern Lights novels, spending my summers in the botanical gardens and river dipping...the pubs are also fantastic! Happy, nostalgic times. It was always on my list to draw with magnificent place as the architecture alone is simply stunning. Greeting cards are blank inside for you to write your own loving message.
